Job description
Overview
This is a structured 12-month analyst programme with a global private equity firm that concentrates on pan-European investments in software and technology. Now in its third run, the programme is intended to give early-career candidates end-to-end exposure to private equity work, including origination, research, diligence, and execution.
The position is based in London and requires joining in August or September 2026, with a full 12-month commitment. Because the firm works in compact, high-performing teams, analysts are given meaningful ownership from the outset rather than only back-office support duties.
Responsibilities
- Lead thematic and sector research across software and technology services markets.
- Take part in due diligence exercises, including financial modelling, market analysis, and company assessment.
- Assist with transaction execution by preparing investment materials and drafting deal documents.
- Carry out commercial and operational analysis to support investment recommendations.
- Build financial models and valuation analysis for potential portfolio investments.
- Contribute ideas in team discussions and present opportunities to investment professionals.
- Participate in the firm’s formal training and mentoring programme throughout the year.
Requirements
- Strong interest in businesses, technology, and investing.
- Excellent academic performance and evidence of extracurricular achievement.
- Good analytical and numerical ability; exposure to financial modelling is a plus.
- Confident communication skills, including the ability to present to senior colleagues.
- Self-driven attitude, strong initiative, and a solid work ethic.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in small, fast-moving teams.
- Well organised, with effective time management and the ability to juggle several priorities.
- Flexible and quick to adapt when priorities change.
- Previous experience in finance, consulting, or technology is helpful but not mandatory.
- Language ability in German, French, or a Scandinavian language is especially valued; any other European language is also an advantage.
- Availability to begin in August or September 2026 and remain for the full 12-month programme.
Additional information
Senna places strong emphasis on analyst development through a proprietary continuous learning programme. Earlier training topics have included decision-making, high-performance learning environments, and the psychology of influence. The programme is designed to develop both investment technical skills and broader professional capability at the same time.
Analysts are embedded directly in live deal teams rather than placed in a rotational or siloed setup, so they gain early exposure to live transactions and senior stakeholders. The firm’s narrow focus on European software and technology creates a specialist, high-growth environment for learning and development.
Application process and office expectations
The role is based on-site in the company’s London office on Regent Street, and analysts are expected to be in the office for most of the working week. Only candidates who can start in August or September 2026 and complete the full 12-month programme will be considered.
