Job description
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Planning Manager to spearhead the planning and scheduling efforts for expansive Oil & Gas EPC projects based in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be accountable for crafting, tracking, and controlling project timelines to guarantee on-time delivery, while effectively liaising with project teams, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain comprehensive project schedules utilizing Primavera P6.
- Create project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and detailed execution schedules.
- Track project milestones, identify deviations, delays, and critical path tasks.
- Evaluate project performance and suggest corrective measures to address issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning departments to synchronize schedules.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Perform schedule risk analyses and make forecasting projections.
- Participate in project review meetings with clients, consultants, and management teams.
- Review and monitor subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Ensure adherence to contractual planning and reporting obligations.
- Support project control functions related to cost and resource planning.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- 12 to 18 years of experience in planning for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- At least 5 years serving as a Planning Manager or Lead Planning Engineer.
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
- In-depth understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and progress measurement techniques.
- Experience managing large-scale EPC projects with established contractors.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Prior work experience in the Gulf region is strongly favored.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is advantageous.
