Role Overview

The P2P channel is a key fiat on-ramp in crypto, and the product has already matured beyond its basic stage. The next phase is centered on improving liquidity depth, merchant quality, dispute resolution speed, and the overall trading experience across diverse local payment environments. In this role, you will help turn an already usable product into the preferred choice for users, with stronger completion rates, less dispute friction, higher merchant quality, and a repeatable launch playbook for new fiat markets.

Key Responsibilities

You will own the full P2P trading journey, including matching, ad ranking, price discovery, release flow, and dispute management, with accountability for completion rate, dispute rate, and average trade time.

You will design and improve the merchant segmentation framework across onboarding, tiering, deposits, KYB, incentives, commissions, and risk controls.

You will work closely with risk, compliance, and support teams to rebuild anti-fraud and dispute processes that address account farming, money laundering, frozen cards, third-party payment fraud, and related abuse patterns.

You will lead launches for new markets and payment methods in partnership with localization, compliance, and business development teams, from prioritization through post-launch penetration growth.

You will establish data feedback loops that surface abnormal orders, user drop-off, merchant behavior changes, and product gaps before they become larger structural issues.

Requirements

You should be hands-on in understanding markets rather than relying only on dashboards. That means opening competitor accounts, completing real P2P orders, joining merchant groups, speaking with support, and investigating the root cause behind individual dispute cases.

You need experience owning products in marketplaces, payments, trading, risk, or dispute management, where incentives, abuse, liquidity, and user experience all had to be balanced together.

You must be comfortable making product decisions in unclear situations where compliance, risk, and growth point in different directions, while still communicating the tradeoff clearly to the wider team.

You should view bad actors as a normal part of the operating environment and know how to strengthen controls without disrupting legitimate user flows.

Relevant background includes crypto exchange P2P, OTC, cross-border payments, acquiring, consumer finance risk, ecommerce dispute handling, or anti-fraud products.

Additional strength is an understanding of payment behavior in emerging markets, especially why users and merchants work around formal product structures.

It is also beneficial if you have built merchant, seller, or agent ecosystems where incentives and enforcement had to evolve together.
