Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Possess thorough knowledge of the processes, functions, and systems associated with Modern Trade operations.
- Maintain strong relationships across Modern Trade stores and with key retail personnel.
- Ensure brand availability and visibility, maintaining stock and freshness consistently in the market.
- Supervise merchandising efforts and provide regular training to the sales team.
- Understand and implement the MSS (Modern Sales Structure) concept tailored to diverse retailers.
Business Development
- Manage primary and secondary sales within the assigned territory.
- Achieve and plan account-specific sales targets and growth on a monthly basis.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills to foster business development.
- Adhere to fill rate standards and conduct monthly forecast analyses.
- Build and sustain good relationships with key retailers.
Channel Partner Coordination
- Ensure secondary sales growth and proper planning with channel partners.
- Maintain inventory levels according to company norms and comply with WOW policies.
- Implement Dealer Management System (DMS) effectively.
- Guarantee timely clearance of monthly claims and damages with channel partners.
- Prioritize fill rate consistently.
Behavioral Competencies
- Break down sales targets into weekly and daily goals, account-wise, for effective achievement.
- Possess extensive knowledge of the brand portfolio, sales, distribution, and activation plans to optimize outcomes.
- Ensure timely execution of both company-funded and unpaid promotional activities.
Communication Skills
- Collect and process information through interaction, brainstorming, and discussion to respond effectively.
- Manage objections and negotiations adeptly, while introducing and implementing innovative ideas and measures.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis.
- Understand the significance of company-specific software tools for informed business decisions.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Possess a full-time MBA degree from a recognized and reputable college or university.
- Have at least 3 years of frontline sales experience, preferably within the FMCG sector, specifically in Chocolates and Food industries.
- Experience in handling sales in Modern Trade and within a specific geography is preferred.
Language & Communication
- Comfortable communicating in English and Hindi; knowledge of a regional language is considered an advantage.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, with proficiency in written English.
