Position Overview
A reputable national law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team located in midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate will bring adaptability and supportive skills combined with significant legal administrative experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage administrative tasks for attorneys, including calendar coordination, arranging travel, and assisting with timekeeping and billing processes.
- Provide comprehensive support for real estate documentation, covering all phases from initial intake through post-closing activities.
- Handle communications by responding promptly to queries from clients and opposing counsel.
- Oversee and ensure timely compliance with important deadlines.
- Assist with a variety of additional assignments as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years' experience supporting a transactional real estate practice group in a legal setting.
- Experience working within a large law firm environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with billing software is advantageous.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range between $90,000 and $130,000, non-exempt, with pay commensurate with experience.
- Conditional sign-on bonus available.
