Job description
Role overview
Yazio helps millions of people around the world build healthier habits, and the Monetization team shapes the parts of the product that help users understand value, make subscription choices and stay engaged. As a Junior Product Designer, you will contribute to experiences such as paywalls, subscription journeys and experiments that support product growth.
This position is intentionally structured for someone early in their design career. You will work alongside an experienced Senior Product Designer, partner with Product Managers and Engineers, and receive ongoing feedback. The role begins with shadowing and learning the basics, then expands into more independent ownership of design tasks and projects.
The company is looking for someone to help move Yazio toward its goal of becoming the leading nutrition app globally.
This job is fully remote and open to candidates located in Germany, Spain, Portugal, or the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Create mobile-first experiences for paywalls, subscription flows, and upsell journeys.
- Translate product ideas into wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished visual designs.
- Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to turn concepts into shipped product work.
- Use insights from user research, usability testing, and experiment outcomes to guide design decisions.
- Refine work through iteration, feedback, and evidence-based improvements.
- Experiment with AI-assisted tools for ideation, prototyping, and research support.
- Prepare design handoff materials and help maintain quality through release.
- Contribute to the design system and participate in Design Guild activities.
- Increase ownership gradually as your skills and confidence develop.
Candidate profile
You should already have some experience designing mobile products through employment, internships, freelance work, or portfolio projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can create clear and intuitive interfaces, and enjoys bringing ideas to life through wireframes, prototypes, and refined final designs.
You should also be curious about how design influences user behavior and business results, comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and able to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, and design teams. A willingness to explore AI-enabled workflows and keep improving is important, as is the motivation to grow in a fast-paced environment and own your development.
Additional experience with mobile consumer products, design systems, user research, experimentation, subscription journeys, onboarding flows, or AI design tools will help you stand out.
