(Senior) FP&A Manager

Role overview

Yazio is hiring a Senior FP&A Manager to take end-to-end control of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning as the company continues to grow. In this position, you will help shape decisions across the business by delivering timely financial insight and building practical models that support both everyday operations and longer-term strategy.

You will work closely with Finance, Product, Operations, and senior leaders to convert complex business questions into clear analysis and recommendations. The role is fully remote and open only to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal, or the U.K.

What you'll do

• Act as a finance partner to business leaders by turning complicated financial questions into structured analysis, clear models, and actionable recommendations.
• Own the full annual budgeting process, including planning, coordination, alignment, and consolidation across the organization.
• Create and manage ad hoc financial models for topics such as headcount planning, business cases, pricing, and cost optimization.
• Maintain rolling forecasts and refresh them using actual results and updated assumptions to keep the outlook accurate and current.
• Prepare monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and leadership commentary, using AI tools to speed up first drafts while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
• Improve FP&A processes, dashboards, and tools with a strong emphasis on automation and reducing manual spreadsheet work.
• Help build and scale a modern FP&A function in close collaboration with financial stakeholders.

Profile

• Strong financial modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills; experience with FP&A platforms such as Abacum or similar tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycles across functions, with accountability for results.
• Ability to explain financial complexity in a simple, structured way for non-finance audiences, including senior leadership; comfortable working in async, remote-first setups.
• Solid commercial understanding and curiosity about product, users, and unit economics, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
• Highly capable and critical AI user who brings AI into everyday workflows for modelling, analysis, and communication while carefully validating outputs.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete information, and being transparent about assumptions and uncertainty.
• Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset with experience in fast-scaling environments.
• SQL or basic data querying experience is an advantage.
