Job description
Role overview
A fast-growing FMCG business in central London is looking for an early-career procurement professional or a strong graduate with real potential to join its expanding team. This position is designed for someone at the start of their procurement journey who is commercially minded, eager to learn, and motivated to progress.
The role comes with a clear route for advancement, strong development support, and the chance to grow within a procurement function that is both strategic and forward-looking.
What you will do
- Help manage sourcing activity and supplier relationships across indirect spend areas.
- Support initiatives that drive savings, reduce risk, improve value, and enhance service levels.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to faster contract completion.
- Assist across the full source-to-contract cycle, including support for RFI, RFP and RFQ activity, basic commercial analysis, negotiation preparation, supplier setup, and contract administration.
- Engage with business teams to understand needs, project briefs, and internal workflows.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement work and help with category planning as your experience develops.
Candidate profile
The employer is seeking someone with around one year of procurement experience, ideally with exposure to direct or indirect buying activity. A completed degree, or one nearing completion, in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Marketing, or a similar field is preferred.
You should be comfortable working with procurement and ERP systems such as SAP or comparable tools, and be confident communicating with people at different levels across the business. A strong interest in procurement and supply chain, together with a desire to build negotiation, commercial, and supplier management skills, is important.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, detail-focused, and keen to keep learning. An interest in working toward CIPS or another recognised procurement and supply chain qualification is also valued, with support available for continued professional development.
Package and development
This role offers a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 plus a package, including CIPS sponsorship. It also provides practical exposure within a high-performing FMCG procurement team, along with structured training, mentoring, and clear progression opportunities.
Additional information
The position is based in central London and follows a hybrid pattern, with two days per week spent in the office.
