Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and data-driven ITS Asset Manager for Roads O&M to join the Doha team. This role serves as the bridge between ITS Operations/Technical teams and the Asset Management function, making sure that operational, maintenance, performance, and lifecycle information from road control centers, tunnel control centers, communications networks, and related control systems is properly collected, organized, assessed, and turned into asset management insights and action plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee asset management for ITS infrastructure, including road control centers, tunnel control centers, fiber backbone networks, switches, transmission systems, SCADA/ATMS platforms, server rooms, and power/UPS assets.
- Work with ITS technical specialists to gather, verify, and structure asset and maintenance information for management use.
- Help define asset maintenance strategies together with subject matter experts.
- Keep the asset register, hierarchy, and classification current and aligned with contract obligations and recognized asset management standards.
- Study maintenance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and failure patterns, then translate operational KPIs into asset performance measures.
- Create criteria for condition rating and asset performance scoring to support risk-based prioritization.
- Assist with lifecycle planning, renewal forecasting, and long-range capital investment planning.
- Spot repeated failures, systemic risks, and obsolescence issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed asset performance reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and client reporting.
- Ensure information accuracy in EAMS platforms, including correct failure coding and asset tagging.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support integrated ITS operations and asset management practices.
- Assist with audits, contract compliance checks, and asset-related deliverables.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in maintenance approaches and asset governance processes.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure operations and maintenance, ITS systems, or asset management settings.
- Solid understanding of asset management principles, lifecycle planning, and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with EAMS platforms and infrastructure data management.
- Exposure to control centers, communications networks, SCADA/ATMS systems, and critical IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage structured asset information accurately.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment and coordinate across technical disciplines.
- Experience in GCC infrastructure or transport authority projects is preferred.
- Professional asset management certifications such as IAM, CMRP, or similar are considered an advantage.
