Job Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Planning Engineer specializing in airport operations to join our Jeddah team. The position entails designing, coordinating, and optimizing detailed project plans for airport infrastructure, terminal expansions, and ground operations. Responsibility includes cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality targets. A high attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a history of successful airport planning initiatives are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update comprehensive project schedules, timelines, and key milestones for airport infrastructure and operational efforts
• Assess project requirements and constraints to devise feasible and effective planning methodologies
• Manage allocation of resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to enhance project efficiency
• Perform risk analysis and implement strategies to mitigate potential schedule disruptions or other complications
• Compile and deliver detailed planning reports and performance measurements to management and stakeholders
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and construction groups to maintain project goal alignment
• Track project progress versus baselines and initiate corrective responses as necessary
• Oversee budgeting forecasts and execute cost control across the project lifecycle
• Employ project management and planning software to monitor and communicate project status
• Ensure adherence to airport operational standards, safety protocols, and aviation regulations
• Propose and pursue improvements in planning procedures and operational efficiencies within airport projects

Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years' experience in planning engineering, with a minimum of three years focused on airport or aviation projects
• Demonstrated proficiency in airport operations, terminal planning, runway developments, or ground handling operations
• Expertise in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools
• Strong command of CAD and planning visualization applications
• Experience managing resource schedules, budgets, and cost controls effectively
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle intricate, multi-stage projects
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of airport safety standards, aviation regulations, and industry best practices
• Effective communication and stakeholder relations skills
• Ability to operate successfully within a multicultural setting and adjust to regional operational needs
• Preferably experienced in airport expansion or terminal modernization projects
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction codes and local regulatory frameworks is an asset
