Housekeeper

Overview

Crothall Healthcare is looking to add full-time Housekeepers right away at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, Alabama. This role supports a healthcare setting where attention to cleanliness, safety, and guest care matters every day.

Pay is listed at $13.50 to $16.00 per hour. Applications are accepted online only.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a Sunday through Saturday schedule that includes rotating weekends. Working hours can change, and more detail will be provided during the interview.

Role Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, organized, and presentable. The work includes routine cleaning tasks in hospitals and similar environments, along with basic room upkeep and responding to housekeeping needs as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, courteous service while focusing on individual customer needs.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors as needed.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstered items.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
• Clean metal fixtures and other installed fittings.
• Empty trash containers and clean them thoroughly.
• Dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Clean sinks, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Wipe and clean glass surfaces.
• Make beds and replace linens when required.
• Return furniture and amenities to the proper layout.
• Respond to guest questions and service requests.
• Handle housekeeping issues such as spills and broken glass.
• Work well with team members and maintain a professional manner with customers and colleagues.
• Carry out other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior housekeeping experience is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Some roles may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule that includes rotating weekends.
• Willingness to work in a healthcare environment and follow cleanliness and safety standards.
