Role Overview

This position is for a Housekeeper at Reene House in Newport. The role suits someone with a sharp eye for detail who takes pride in keeping environments safe, hygienic, and welcoming for people who may be especially vulnerable.

You will play a key part in the housekeeping function, supporting the smooth running of the service by making sure all areas remain clean and well maintained. This includes wards, office areas, bedrooms, and visitor spaces. You will also work alongside the maintenance team to help ensure the site remains in excellent condition.

Full training will be provided at the start, and you’ll join a committed team where you can contribute to improving lives. The employer also offers access to learning and development opportunities to support long-term career growth.

Key Duties

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the service as an engaged and reliable team member.
  • Follow hospital policies and procedures to help maintain the required security standards.
  • Greet visitors professionally and maintain a polite, well-mannered telephone manner.

The service offers a warm, homely atmosphere with skilled staff who assist residents in daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, and managing medication. It is designed to deliver a high standard of care in a comfortable, community-based setting.
