Job description
Overview
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join the Silverchain team in Launceston, Tasmania, as Home Care Workers supporting elderly community members to remain independent and improve their quality of life.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $41.08 plus superannuation and reimbursement for approved kilometers traveled

- Resilient and able to remain professional despite client mood fluctuations or scheduling delays
- Comfortable working autonomously, problem-solving, with appropriate escalation to management
Required Credentials
- Valid Australian driver’s license with personal insured, roadworthy vehicle
- Interest in community or aged care, with 3 to 6 months prior similar work experience preferred
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, mopping, vacuuming floors, making beds
- Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, ironing
- Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping
- Offer social support and provide transport for leisure or lifestyle activities
- Support family carers by enabling breaks or time for other commitments
