Job description
Overview
U-Haul is looking for a practical, hands-on person who wants to build technical expertise in a customer-facing role. In this position, you’ll support customers at a Moving and Storage Center by helping them choose and install the right towing solution for their vehicle.
What the role involves
- Explain the different towing package options available through U-Haul.
- Match customers with the appropriate tow package for their vehicle and install it correctly.
- Deliver friendly, high-quality support to U-Haul customers.
- Take part in continuing learning through U-Haul University.
- Handle other duties as needed.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Hands-on experience with basic wiring is needed.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools is required.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
Work environment
This job includes moderate safety risks or discomforts, such as working near moving parts, machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Protective equipment may be required, including masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical requirements
The position calls for periods of standing indoors and outdoors, moving around work areas, adjusting position to access tools, and lifting at least 50 lbs with or without assistance.
