Overview
Bravia Services is looking for a seasoned Healthcare Operations Manager to lead the Medical Operations Center remotely in Indiana on a long-term contract basis. This role involves managing healthcare operations, organizing teams, streamlining processes, and coordinating patient flow and emergency responses within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Medical Operations Center (MOCC) as the unit manager.
- Handle employee scheduling, timekeeping, onboarding, and access management.
- Lead and coordinate activities of diverse staff members with varied roles.
- Participate in a rotating on-call leader duty schedule.
- Work closely with both internal teams and external partners to enhance healthcare service delivery.
- Design and implement initiatives aimed at improving processes and expanding operations.
- Evaluate community and organizational requirements and manage resources to meet operational objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and document workflows aimed at increasing efficiency.
- Manage all aspects of staff supervision including recruitment, training, scheduling, feedback, performance reviews, payroll, and disciplinary actions.
- Create, update, and enforce policies and procedures related to operations.
- Set priorities, measure outcomes, and apply improvements to processes as necessary.
- Allocate operational resources and establish standards to optimize team performance.
- Represent senior leadership when called upon and serve as a primary liaison for stakeholders and operational partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience.
- At least 5 years' experience in healthcare operations, patient placement, patient transfers, or emergency healthcare response.
- A minimum of 2 years managing teams of 5 or more individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree highly regarded.
- Experience in inter-facility transportation coordination.
- Prior involvement managing healthcare command centers, transfer centers, or patient flow operations.
