Job Overview

Benmax is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our Sydney team. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to five years of experience looking to launch their engineering career. You will contribute to award-winning commercial and industrial HVAC projects, working closely with experienced professionals who are committed to your development. Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering calculations, develop concept layouts, and perform equipment selection.
  • Assist with project planning, budget management, documentation, and quality assurance.
  • Apply relevant industry codes and standards under guidance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, including reviewing proposals and supporting procurement processes.
  • Utilize Procore and other project management tools for workflow management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Engineering (Technical/Mechanical).
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain an AGSVA security clearance.
  • Exposure to engineering or construction projects is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Python, Camel, or Procore is a plus.
  • Progress towards Chartered status with Engineers Australia is desirable.
  • A strong team mindset, willingness to accept direction, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and a proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.

Eligibility

Recent graduates with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Engineering (Technical/Mechanical) and 0-5 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
