Job description

Overview

Mindrift is seeking an experienced Brand Designer to support the Tendem project and contribute to AI-assisted data scraping workflows within a hybrid AI plus human setup. The work is remote and part-time, with a focus on building strong visual systems and maintaining a cohesive brand presence.

In this position, you will work alongside Tendem Agents who manage repetitive tasks, while you provide strategic design judgment, subject-matter expertise, and creative direction. The role is suited to designers who are confident in brand asset development, visual identity work, and keeping brand output consistent across touchpoints.

Mindrift’s platform brings together domain experts and AI initiatives from leading technology companies. The goal is to advance Generative AI by incorporating practical knowledge from professionals around the world.

This is a freelance engagement for a Tendem project. As the brand specialist, you will help establish the visual foundation of the brand, refresh the overall look and feel, and ensure consistency across digital and print applications using standard design software.

Responsibilities

  • Create essential brand assets such as logos, complete identity systems, and defined color palettes.
  • Produce, organize, and hand off the necessary variations of core visual elements in a structured way.
  • Protect brand consistency across all internal and external assets, including pitch decks and social media materials.
  • Develop scalable visual frameworks that can support the brand over the long term.
  • Check design output across different formats to make sure the visual identity works well in both digital and print use cases.

How the work starts

After applying and completing the required qualification steps, you can begin contributing to projects that match your background and skills. The schedule is flexible, and you can work on your own time. Your tasks may include creating training prompts and improving AI-generated outputs to help shape brand identity creation.

Requirements

  • Preferably at least 2 years of experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communications.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a related creative discipline is an advantage.
  • Strong experience building brand identity systems from the ground up, including logos, color palettes, and typography.
  • Advanced command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma.
  • Ability to adapt visual identity effectively across formats such as social media kits, corporate presentations, and print collateral.
  • Capability to create clear brand guidelines, style guides, and organized asset libraries for team-wide use.
  • English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher is mandatory.
  • A thoughtful, detail-oriented approach with a focus on long-term brand value.
  • Strong commitment to preserving visual consistency and acting as the guardian of the brand.
  • Independent working style with the ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver polished output without close supervision.
  • A portfolio showing branding work, including logos, identity systems, and guidelines, must be included with the CV.

Compensation

Contributors on this project can earn up to the equivalent of $40 per hour, depending on experience level and output pace. Pay may differ by project based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.

Workload

During active project phases, the expected workload is approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not guaranteed for every period of the engagement.

Application note

Applicants should send a resume in English and clearly state their English level.
