Job description

Role Overview

Mindrift is hiring a highly capable Brand Designer for the Tendem project to support specialized data-scraping workflows inside a hybrid AI and human working model. In this freelance, remote, part-time position, you will partner with Tendem Agents who take care of repetitive tasks, while you contribute the strategic thinking, subject-matter depth, and design direction needed to establish a polished and modern visual foundation.

This opportunity is well suited to creative professionals who have practical experience in developing brand assets, shaping visual identities, and keeping brand systems consistent across every touchpoint.

About Mindrift

Mindrift’s platform brings together domain experts and AI projects from leading technology innovators. The goal is to expand what Generative AI can achieve by combining it with expertise from real practitioners around the world.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will act as the main owner of brand identity development for the project. Your work will center on creating strong foundational assets, refining the visual language, and making sure all brand materials remain consistent across channels and formats. You will help modernize the look and feel of the brand while using standard design tools to keep everything cohesive across digital and print outputs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create the base brand system, including logos, complete visual identities, and coordinated color palettes.
  • Produce, structure, and hand over the required versions of essential brand elements in an organized way.
  • Protect consistency across all internal and external assets, such as pitch decks and social media kits.
  • Develop flexible, durable visual systems that follow current design best practices.
  • Review and validate design quality across platforms so the brand translates consistently in both digital and print media.

How the Project Works

After applying and completing the qualification steps, you can begin contributing to tasks that match your expertise and work on your own schedule. Your responsibilities may include creating training prompts and improving AI-generated results, helping shape how AI learns to build unified brand identities.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2 or more years of relevant experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communications is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a related creative discipline is an added advantage.
  • Strong experience building brand identity systems from the ground up, including scalable logos, distinct color palettes, and typography frameworks.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma for developing and managing core brand materials.
  • Ability to adapt a brand identity accurately across many formats, from digital social media kits to corporate pitch decks and printed collateral.
  • Capability to design clear brand guidelines, style guides, and organized asset libraries that teams can use easily.
  • English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
  • A highly strategic, detail-focused mindset oriented toward long-term brand value.
  • Strong commitment to visual consistency and the ability to act as the brand’s quality guardian.
  • Self-driven working style with the ability to solve problems independently and deliver high-quality assets.
  • A portfolio showing branding work such as logos, identity systems, and guidelines must be included in the CV.

Time Commitment

During active phases of the project, the expected workload is about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is an estimate only and is not a guaranteed number of hours; it applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

Contributors may earn up to the hourly equivalent of $40, depending on individual level and pace of contribution. Pay levels can vary by project based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
