Role Overview

Mindrift is seeking an experienced Brand Designer to contribute to the Tendem project and support specialized data-scraping workflows within a hybrid AI-and-human setup. In this freelance, part-time remote role, you will work alongside Tendem Agents that manage repetitive work, while you bring strategic judgment, domain knowledge, and creative direction to establish a polished and modern visual foundation.

This opportunity is well suited to creative professionals who have practical experience developing brand assets, shaping visual identities, and keeping brand presentation consistent across channels.

Mindrift’s platform connects subject-matter specialists with AI initiatives from leading technology companies. Its goal is to help advance generative AI by incorporating expertise from around the world.

For this assignment, your main focus will be brand asset creation, visual identity development, and maintaining consistency across all touchpoints. You will act as the person responsible for defining the brand’s visual direction, refreshing the look and feel where needed, and making sure design output remains cohesive across digital and print formats using standard industry tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build essential brand assets from the ground up, such as logos, complete identity systems, and clearly defined color palettes.
  • Create, organize, and hand over the required versions and variations of the core brand elements.
  • Protect visual consistency across all internal and external materials, including pitch decks and social media asset kits.
  • Develop flexible, durable visual systems that follow current design best practices.
  • Check design quality across platforms so the brand translates smoothly into both digital and print applications.

How the Work Starts

Once you apply and successfully complete the qualification steps, you can begin contributing to projects that match your expertise on your own schedule. Your work may include creating training prompts and improving AI-generated results to help shape how AI understands and produces cohesive brand identities.

Requirements

  • About 2 or more years of relevant experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communication is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a related creative discipline is an advantage.
  • Strong capability in creating brand identities from scratch, including scalable logos, distinctive color palettes, and typography systems.
  • Advanced command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma for producing and managing design assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt brand identity consistently across different formats, including social media kits, corporate pitch decks, and printed collateral.
  • Ability to structure brand guidelines, style guides, and organized asset libraries for team-wide use.
  • English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
  • A portfolio showing branding work, including logos, identity systems, and guidelines, must be included with the CV.

  • You need to be highly attentive to detail and committed to keeping visual output consistent.

Project Time Expectations

During active phases, the estimated workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an approximation and is not a guaranteed number of hours; it applies solely while the project is active.

Compensation

Contributors on this project may earn up to the equivalent of $50 per hour, depending on their experience level and contribution speed.

Pay can differ from one project to another based on the scope of work, complexity, and expertise required.
