Job description
Role overview
We are hiring a Finance Business Partner for a prominent organisation operating in the energy and infrastructure space. This position offers the chance to join a business that is constantly developing and to gain wide exposure to commercial results and senior-level stakeholder interaction.
The role is both strategic and highly visible, bringing together financial insight, performance management, and business partnering. You will work closely with operational teams and senior leaders to help shape decisions and drive business performance.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside business leaders and joint venture stakeholders to deliver financial insight, question assumptions, and contribute to commercial decisions.
- Assist with planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, including the creation of financial analytics and performance reporting.
- Track the financial results of important business areas, spot emerging issues, and help put corrective actions in place when needed.
- Prepare and present financial analysis and information to senior stakeholders, while supporting statutory reporting and audit processes.
- Help maintain strong governance and control structures and ensure effective coordination across finance functions.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification) with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Background in finance business partnering or a commercially oriented finance position.
- Solid grasp of what drives financial performance, along with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to influence and challenge when necessary.
- Commercial finance exposure in energy and infrastructure, or in another capital-intensive development setting, would be a strong advantage.
Ideal candidate
This opportunity is well suited to a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, shaping decisions, and operating at the point where finance meets the broader business.
