Role overview

Orica is looking for a Tax Analyst in Tanzania who will report to the Tax Lead. The position is central to handling regional tax matters, keeping the business aligned with local tax requirements and Orica standards, and ensuring tax reporting and accounting are accurate. The role also supports tax strategy execution, helps manage audits and disputes, and provides practical guidance to reduce risk and strengthen governance.

In this role, you will contribute to operational efficiency and compliant, sustainable business performance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with local tax legislation and Orica Tax Standards throughout the region.
• Prepare and submit tax filings and statutory reports, while also supporting tax effect accounting activities.
• Help put regional tax strategy into action and identify opportunities for tax planning.
• Assist with tax audits, disputes, and day-to-day coordination with revenue authorities.
• Track legal and regulatory updates and take a proactive approach to tax risk management and compliance improvements.

Requirements

• A degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or financial management.
• Good understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and tax rules across the region.
• Previous exposure to multinational companies or Big 4 firms is an advantage.
• Strong communication abilities, sharp attention to detail, and a collaborative, self-starting approach.
