Overview
This role is for a senior-level recruiter supporting a focused business function. The assignment is a 6-month contract with the possibility of being extended. The position is based in North Chicago, Illinois 60064, with remote work allowed. The hiring team is specifically looking for experience recruiting Procurement or Category Manager profiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Own recruiting efforts for an assigned team, function, or other business areas as needed.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for both immediate openings and future hiring needs.
- Screen candidates, coordinate recruiting projects, and work with team members to shape sourcing approaches and fill open roles.
- Proactively find, source, and manage talent pools that match business priorities.
- Handle active requisitions, keep the SmartRecruiters ATS updated, track recruiting performance, and share important hiring updates with leaders and stakeholders.
- Research and present industry insights, market trends, and data/analytics to support hiring decisions.
- Prepare and approve offer packages, including research on equity and market competitiveness.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws, as well as applicant tracking and reporting requirements.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership on all staffing-related needs and challenges.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- At least 3-5+ years of recruiting experience in a fast-moving, competitive environment is required; 7+ years is preferred.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to inspire confidence and deliver results are important.
- Hands-on experience with proactive sourcing and recruiting is required.
- Background in healthcare or pharmaceutical recruiting is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing requisitions in SmartRecruiters ATS is preferred.
