Role Overview

A nonprofit professional organization is looking for an Executive Assistant to support its CEO/President on a temporary-to-permanent basis in Washington, D.C. This role partners closely with the Chief of Staff and requires someone who can keep a fast-moving executive office organized, responsive, and well coordinated.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver senior-level administrative support to the CEO/President while working alongside the Chief of Staff.
  • Own calendar management, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination tied to leadership priorities.
  • Arrange detailed domestic and international travel plans, including full itineraries.
  • Act as a central contact for both internal teams and outside stakeholders.
  • Draft presentations, meeting documents, and executive-level communications.
  • Track expenses, support budgeting, and prepare reports, with Concur as a preferred tool.
  • Help organize board-related meetings and logistics in coordination with the Chief of Staff.
  • Take on general administrative duties and special assignments as needed.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings extensive executive support experience, particularly at the C-suite level, and is comfortable handling demanding schedules, frequent travel, and confidential information. A polished communication style, strong organization, and a proactive approach are essential.

Additional Details

  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Engagement type: Temp-to-perm.
  • Compensation: $38 to $42 per hour.
  • Potential permanent salary range: $90,000 to $95,000 per year.
  • Work arrangement: 100% onsite in Washington, D.C.
  • Location note: Metro accessible.
