The Role

The Room Attendant plays an important part in keeping guest rooms clean, well presented, and fully stocked. This position focuses on thorough housekeeping duties, maintaining guest comfort, protecting guest privacy, and responding quickly and courteously to needs or concerns. This is a seasonal full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out complete room-cleaning duties, including dusting, bed making, changing used linen, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, wiping interior windows, cleaning coffee pots, making sure pots are plugged in, cleaning sinks and fixtures, and checking under beds, in drawers, and inside closets for trash or items left behind.
  • Replenish guest-room supplies and amenities, and restock the linen room with clean linens for the following day, ensuring terry items, soap, glasses, comment cards, coffee, and other amenities are ready.
  • Rearrange furniture after guest use when needed.
  • Add thoughtful touches that improve the guest experience.
  • Handle questions, requests, and complaints from guests and coworkers in a timely and polite manner.
  • Safeguard guest privacy and belongings while ensuring rooms remain secure.
  • Document and tag all lost property found in guest rooms and place it in the proper designated area.
  • Stay current on cleaning chemicals, products, and the correct handling methods.
  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment properly and responsibly.
  • Escalate maintenance concerns, safety risks, burned-out bulbs, plumbing problems, and suspicious activity to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Rooms Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of rooms cleaned.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in housekeeping or general cleaning is preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with tight time limits.
  • Good organization and a high-energy work style.
  • Ability to notice safety risks or danger and respond appropriately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and efficiently.
  • Experience using industrial cleaning tools and products.
  • Physical ability to reach, stretch, bend, and walk for long periods.
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

Pay is set at $18.25 to $20.00 per hour, depending on skill set, education, and experience.

The property includes 100 rooms, a luxury spa, an upscale restaurant, and an 18-hole golf course with a virtual driving range and lounge.
