Role overview
This position sits within the purchasing and materials function of the engineering team for a major European airline group. The business operates a large fleet, serves hundreds of millions of passengers each year, and continues to expand its aircraft and network footprint. The role offers a chance to build a career in aviation materials operations while supporting ongoing airline activity.
The successful person will be based at the Head Office in Airside Business Park and will work a 6 days on, 3 days off shift pattern. The company notes that this is a strong opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to gain practical experience in a leading airline environment.
What you will do
- Coordinate the movement of aircraft parts across the network.
- Track part progress through the supply chain and keep stakeholders updated.
- Work with different internal teams to support day-to-day operations.
- Support the materials team with part sourcing activities.
- Share key information clearly and work collaboratively as part of the team.
- Help manage costs effectively.
- Support control of spare-part requirements across the aircraft fleet.
- Monitor stock levels using the company’s computer systems.
- Take on other related tasks as reasonably assigned by management.
Candidate profile
