About the Role
This is a foundational leadership position responsible for establishing and scaling the Strategy & Operations function within a rapidly growing, mission-driven organization. As the inaugural hire for this department, you will be instrumental in defining and implementing operational excellence standards across the company. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive sustainable operational improvements. You will collaborate closely with customer experience leadership, clinical teams, and other executives to identify and resolve bottlenecks, thereby enhancing efficiency and improving outcomes. A key focus will be on developing analytical frameworks, leading cross-functional projects, and optimizing complex workflows for scalability. This position offers significant visibility, autonomy, and the chance to profoundly influence the company's growth trajectory.
Accountabilities
- Spearhead strategy and operations initiatives from conception through implementation, performance tracking, and long-term integration.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to pinpoint operational challenges and jointly devise scalable solutions, including the redesign of workflows for clinical and customer experience departments.
- Develop and embed analytical frameworks for performance measurement, shifting decision-making from intuition to data-driven insights.
- Lead critical workstreams focused on enhancing operational efficiency, integrating AI technologies, and identifying root causes of customer experience volume fluctuations.
- Orchestrate cross-functional projects that span multiple departments, ensuring clear accountability and successful execution.
- Conduct organizational assessments to identify areas for improvement in scaling operations and prioritize key enhancements.
- Establish core processes, implement necessary tools, and define best practices that will form the bedrock of the future Strategy & Operations team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in strategy, operations, consulting, business operations, or high-growth startup environments, with a proven track record of building or scaling complex functions.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to dissect ambiguous problems, construct analytical models, and rigorously validate findings.
- Proven ability to drive operational execution, ensuring that strategic recommendations are translated into lasting, practical changes.
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with the skill to effectively engage and influence senior leaders and subject matter experts.
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities, adept at synthesizing complex information into clear, executive-level communications.
- A strong sense of ownership and a history of achieving results that have a lasting impact beyond your direct involvement.
- Comfort and effectiveness in ambiguous, fast-paced settings with limited pre-existing structures.
- Prior experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or service-oriented operational settings is advantageous.
