Role overview
Royal Mail is hiring a permanent Delivery Postie with Driving for Saxmundham Delivery Office, IP17 1AA. This role is based on-site and involves 37 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Sunday, with shifts scheduled between 08:00 and 16:00.
Because of service needs, Sunday working will be required on a rota from 10:00 to 17:00 at Ipswich Delivery Office.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the local community. You will be delivering a wide range of mail and parcels in all weather conditions, helping ensure important items reach homes and businesses reliably and securely.
What the job involves
- Carry out deliveries on your assigned route with care, accuracy and professionalism.
- Handle and deliver special items in line with business standards, including election materials and certain products such as food items or alcohol.
- Work outdoors for extended periods and walk substantial distances as part of the role.
- Provide a friendly, trustworthy service to customers across the community.

Pay and benefits
The role offers a guaranteed hourly pay rate of £13.68, paid monthly and adjusted according to the hours worked.

Additional information
For candidate search purposes, roles of 35 to 37 hours per week are shown as full-time. However, if the role is under 37 hours per week, it will be treated as part-time in the employment contract.
