Job description

About the Company

Inkitt is an AI-driven entertainment and publishing company working to create the Disney of the 21st century. The company uses predictive technology to uncover unknown stories and transform them into major hits, releasing a new $1M ebook roughly every four weeks and selling directly to readers through its Galatea app. Inkitt is now the 11th largest publisher by bestseller generation and reports a hit rate that is 40 times higher than traditional publishing. Backed by investors including Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, and NEA Ventures after a recent Series C raise, the company is also expanding through CandyJar TV as it moves toward becoming a next-generation entertainment leader.

What You’ll Do

  • Study books and series to identify the strongest selling points and key plot moments, then turn those insights into clear hooks and paid ad briefs designed to improve conversion.
  • Craft persuasive ad copy for paid social, turning a full story into a short two-line teaser that is built to stop the scroll and perform well.
  • Take ownership of the full creative production process for user acquisition campaigns, including brainstorming performance angles, briefing designers, handling tickets from start to finish, and refining work using UA input and ROAS/conversion data.
  • Work closely with the UA team so creative decisions reflect funnel performance, and convert what succeeds in paid channels into new angles, formats, and experiments that improve CAC and LTV.
  • Follow BookTok, Bookstagram, and Reddit closely to spot emerging formats and hooks before they become mainstream, then adapt them into paid ad concepts.
  • Test AI video tools and image-editing tools to create and improve performance assets independently.
  • Build and maintain a creative pipeline that supports major marketing moments, always-on campaigns, and UA testing plans.
  • Coordinate with outside production partners when campaigns require more complex creative work.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in creative strategy or content marketing supporting paid user acquisition or performance marketing, preferably in a fast-moving startup.
  • Strong copywriting ability tailored to paid social, including the skill to write attention-grabbing hooks and short story summaries that sell.
  • Real enthusiasm for romance content across books, films, and television, with a genuine interest in reading this material regularly.
  • Active participation in BookTok, Bookstagram, or romance reading communities, along with awareness of current trends, popular tropes, and emerging themes.
  • Strong comfort with Google Sheets or Excel, a solid grasp of performance metrics, and the ability to connect creative choices to campaign results.
  • Hands-on experience working with paid or UA teams and a practical understanding of full-funnel marketing and creative’s influence on conversion.
  • Ability to use creative tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, image-editing software, and AI video tools.
  • A fast-moving, proactive approach that favors execution over waiting for perfect direction.

Who We’re Looking For

  • People who work independently and take ownership.
  • Problem-solvers who arrive with solutions rather than issues.
  • Professionals who make decisions based on data.
  • Individuals who act quickly and decisively.
  • High-output team members who are comfortable working hard.
  • Candidates seeking rapid career growth.
  • People excited to build an ambitious AI and entertainment business and enjoy the process.

Benefits and Perks

  • 401(k) plan to support long-term savings.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage tailored to employee needs.
  • Professional coaching available to everyone.
  • Team events, including the annual Tulum trip.
  • Unlimited access to the Galatea app and CandyJarTV app.
  • Unlimited budget for self-development books.
  • Charitable donation of choice after one year with the company.
  • Free lunch at the office every day.
  • ClassPass membership for US-based employees and gym access for Berlin employees.
  • Dog-friendly offices in Berlin and San Francisco.
