Job description
Overview
This opportunity is with Mindrift, which brings subject-matter experts into project-based AI work for major technology companies. The focus is on checking, rating, and refining AI systems rather than taking on a permanent role.
What the work may include
- Review AI-produced auto insurance claim decisions for correctness, appropriate coverage handling, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Create FNOL scenarios that intentionally include conflicting details, misleading documents, and outdated paperwork to test how well an agent handles edge cases.
- Develop and assess fraud-review scenarios using structured reason codes, such as late reporting, a recently purchased policy, or inconsistent damage claims, for SIU escalation.
- Prepare subrogation test cases using state-level negligence standards, including comparative and contributory rules, and judge recovery potential.
- Record test cases with clear supporting answers, policy references, and payout computations.
Candidate profile
This is best suited to professionals with experience in insurance claims, legal services, or broader financial services who are comfortable with part-time project work instead of ongoing employment.
Requirements
- A degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in insurance, claims, legal, or financial services work.
- Recent or current exposure to claims handling, adjusting, or a similar adjacent function.
- Working knowledge of auto insurance coverage decisions, state-based negligence rules, and adjuster authority-limit practices.
- AIC, CPCU, CIFI, or SCLA certification is a plus, though it is not mandatory when practical experience is strong.
- Excellent written English at C1 level or above.
Application instructions
Applicants should submit a CV in English and clearly state their English proficiency level.
