Overview
Mindrift is seeking an experienced Brand Designer for the Tendem project to support specialized data-scraping workflows inside a hybrid AI-plus-human setup. In this freelance, part-time remote role, you will work alongside Tendem Agents that handle repetitive work while you contribute strategic judgment, brand-thinking, and visual direction to establish a polished, modern identity system.
The position is suited to creative professionals who are comfortable building brand assets from the ground up, shaping visual identity systems, and keeping every touchpoint aligned with a consistent look and feel.

Role focus
This freelance assignment centers on brand asset development, visual identity creation, and maintaining consistency across all materials. You will act as the person responsible for defining the brand structure, refreshing the overall style, and making sure visual outputs remain coherent across different channels and formats using standard industry tools.
Responsibilities
- Build the core brand foundation, including logo design, full identity systems, and well-defined colour palettes.
- Prepare, structure, and hand over the required variations of essential brand elements.
- Protect brand consistency across internal and external assets such as pitch decks and social media kits.
- Design flexible visual systems that are built to last and follow current design best practices.
- Check and uphold design quality across digital and print applications so the brand translates cleanly in every medium.
How the work is structured
Once you apply and complete the necessary qualification steps, you can begin contributing on a schedule that suits you. Work may include creating training prompts and improving AI-generated outputs that help define cohesive brand identities.
Requirements
- Ideally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communications.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a related creative discipline is advantageous.
- Strong capability in creating brand identities from scratch, including scalable logos, distinctive colour palettes, and typography systems.
- Advanced command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma for managing key design assets.
- Proven ability to adapt brand identity consistently across formats such as social media kits, pitch decks, and print collateral.
- Well-developed organisational skills for producing brand guidelines, style guides, and organized asset libraries.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher is mandatory.
- A strategic, highly detail-oriented approach with a focus on long-term brand value.
- Strong commitment to consistency and the ability to act as the steward of the brand.
- Self-directed working style with the ability to solve problems independently and deliver high-quality work.
- A portfolio that includes branding projects such as logos, identity systems, and guidelines must be included in the CV.
Time commitment
During active phases of the project, the expected workload is approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and not a guaranteed number of hours; it applies while the project is active.
Compensation
Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $50 per hour, depending on skill level and pace of contribution. Compensation can vary from project to project based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.
