Role overview

Position details
- Job title: Cash in Transit Officer

- Annual pay: £35,766.10
- Joining incentive: £1,000 for candidates who already hold a valid CVIT SIA licence
- Schedule: 45 hours each week, spread across 4 days
- Shift length: 11.25 hours including paid breaks
- Shift window: between 4:20am and 8:00pm
- Weekend work is included on a rota basis
What the role involves
In this position, you will support the secure movement of cash between sites while helping the business manage risk and maintain reliable service. The work varies from shift to shift and may involve both driving and courier-style duties, either independently or with a partner.
Responsibilities
- Carry out duties either solo or with another team member, depending on whether you are assigned as a driver or courier.
- Transport and deliver cash safely for ATM servicing and related operations.
- Complete required paperwork and follow internal procedures while meeting operational targets.
- Operate and park company vehicles safely and in line with the Highway Code, company rules, and health and safety expectations.
- Build effective working relationships with both internal teams and external contacts to support service quality.
- Keep communication clear with colleagues and branch managers so that problems are resolved promptly and to the expected standard.
Requirements
- You must be able to present a continuous 10-year record of employment and education, with any gaps fully explained.
- A valid full UK driving licence is required, with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Holding a current CVIT SIA licence is preferred; if you have one, the £1,000 bonus is paid after probation. If you do not, the licence can be gained through fully funded training.
- You should drive carefully and always comply with the Highway Code.
- The role calls for someone who can follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
- Successful candidates must pass a criminal record check and a credit background check.
- A 10-year traceable work and education history will be required from all successful applicants.
