Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Cash in Transit Officer in Warrington, intended to build a candidate pool for expected future vacancies within the Cash in Transit team. Applications will be reviewed for upcoming openings, and successful matches will be contacted when a suitable position arises.

  • Working pattern: 45 hours per week across 4 days, with paid breaks included
  • Shift window: between 4:20am and 8:00pm
  • Weekend work: required on a rota basis

What the Role Involves

In this position, you will help move cash safely and securely between sites while supporting service delivery and reducing operational risk. The work varies from shift to shift and may involve driving or courier duties, either on your own or alongside another team member.

Main Duties

  • Carry out driver or courier tasks alone or with a partner, depending on the assignment.
  • Transport and deploy cash securely for ATM servicing.
  • Follow internal procedures and complete all required paperwork in line with operational goals.
  • Operate and park company vehicles safely, following the Highway Code, company rules, and health and safety requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external contacts to provide a reliable customer service.
  • Keep clear communication with colleagues and branch management so that concerns or issues are resolved promptly and appropriately.

Requirements

  • You must be able to present a continuous 10-year history of work and education, with any gaps clearly explained.
  • A full UK driving licence is required, with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • A valid CVIT SIA licence is preferred; if you already have one, a £1,000 bonus is paid after probation.
  • If you do not already hold the CVIT SIA licence, the company can help you obtain it through fully funded training.
  • You need to demonstrate careful driving and constant compliance with the Highway Code.
  • You should be able to follow instructions and work effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Successful candidates must pass a criminal record check and a credit background check.
