Role overview
LandSea is hiring a Cabin Steward to maintain guest cabins and shared areas to a clean, comfortable, and welcoming standard. This is a hands-on role based at the worksite in Squamish, British Columbia, with no remote work option.
Language requirement
English is required for this position.
Education and experience
A secondary school graduation certificate is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
Work arrangement
This is an on-site role and duties must be carried out at the physical location. Staff accommodation is provided, and room and board are included.
Key duties
- Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
- Remove dust from furniture and surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstered furnishings.
- Prepare beds and replace used sheets.
- Replenish clean towels and bathroom toiletries.
- Keep linen storage areas stocked and organized.
- Sanitize and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
- Manage lost-and-found items and report them as needed.
- Respond to guest requests for extra supplies or related items.
- Share basic information about facilities with guests.
- Collect debris and empty waste containers.
- Carry out light housekeeping and general cleaning tasks.
- Clean showers and changing rooms.
Certification
A WHMIS certificate is required.
