Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role in Doha for a Pre-Sales ELV Engineer. The position works at the intersection of sales and engineering, helping shape technical solutions that match client and business requirements. The engineer will prepare proposals and quotations, review project specifications, design ELV solutions, and support demonstrations and presentations. The role also includes coordinating with vendors, internal engineering teams, and project teams to confirm that the proposed solution is practical, cost-efficient, and aligned with relevant standards.

Key Duties

  • Partner with sales and customers to interpret technical requirements and turn them into strong ELV proposals.
  • Study project specifications and prepare suitable system designs for solutions such as CCTV, access control, and related systems.
  • Create technical drawings and bill of quantities documents accurately.
  • Assist with product demonstrations, client presentations, and technical explanation meetings.
  • Work with vendors, engineering colleagues, and project teams to validate solution feasibility and pricing.
  • Provide technical support before and after sales, including response to client questions and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Prepare input for RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and other documentation needed for bid submissions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Comfortable applying sales engineering principles to build competitive and technically correct ELV proposals.
  • Experience providing technical support, including issue resolution and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities for presentations, discussions, and relationship management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Practical knowledge of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, structured cabling, and IP networking.
  • Working familiarity with design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic networking tools.
  • Good analytical thinking, attention to detail, and accuracy in drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
  • Ability to work on-site in Doha and handle several tenders or projects at the same time while meeting deadlines.
  • Prior exposure to pre-sales or project engineering in ELV or security systems is preferred, and certifications are considered an advantage.

Additional Information

This role is based in Doha and requires an on-site presence. The job supports both pre-sales and post-sales technical engagement, and involves regular coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Experience with tenders, technical clarification discussions, and fast-paced project handling will be valuable.
