Role overview

This hourly contract role is for a STEM expert who will contribute specialized knowledge across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics projects. The position is fully remote and focuses on supporting project development, research quality, and technical execution.

Key responsibilities

• Bring advanced STEM expertise to help shape and deliver project work.
• Assist with building and reviewing STEM learning materials, research approaches, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to help maintain strong output quality.
• Carry out detailed literature research, interpret data, and summarize technical insights.
• Explain complex scientific ideas in a clear way for both technical audiences and non-technical stakeholders.
• Spot new developments in STEM and apply innovative methods where relevant.

Requirements

• An advanced qualification such as a Master’s degree or PhD in a STEM discipline is required.
• Substantial background in STEM education, research, or a related industry setting is expected.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills are necessary, especially for simplifying complex topics.
• Applicants should have solid analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
• Prior success in collaborative, cross-functional environments and in leading projects is important.
