Job description

About the Company

Humanis is a rapidly expanding pharmaceutical business based in Turkey, built on a mission of easing people’s lives through healthcare. Over the past decade, the company has grown with a strong people-centered mindset and a commitment to improving access to care in Turkey and across international markets. Its long-term goal is to become the country’s leading pharmaceutical company through innovation, experience, and a human-focused culture.

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced business development leader to drive out-licensing activity across European markets. The role involves building commercial partnerships, identifying suitable licensing opportunities, and supporting negotiations through to deal closure. It is a remote role with the expectation of international travel when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spot and develop out-licensing opportunities in European markets.
  • Create and manage strong working relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and other commercial partners.
  • Research and contact potential licensing partners for Humanis’ product portfolio.
  • Guide business discussions and contribute to contract negotiations until the agreement is finalized.
  • Design and apply out-licensing approaches tailored to each partner.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have substantial business development experience in pharmaceuticals, especially in out-licensing, along with familiarity in generic medicines and specialty products. A clear understanding of European pharma markets, tender processes, and partner selection dynamics is important. The role also calls for excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities, independent working style, and fluency in English. Additional European language knowledge is considered a plus.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is preferred in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or another relevant field from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Applicants should have at least 6 years of business development experience in the pharmaceutical sector, with strong exposure to out-licensing.

The company values diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring and aims to offer a fair, transparent, and inclusive recruitment process for every applicant.
