Role overview
This is an outbound sales development role with a strong earning potential of $80,000 base salary and $128,000 OTE, with 140%+ performance considered achievable. The person in this position will support the New Zealand sales team by building qualified pipeline and helping create new business opportunities.
This position must be based in New Zealand.
What you will do
- Generate new opportunities through cold outreach, follow-up calls, and email engagement.
- Work toward and surpass sales targets to support business growth.
- Identify the right decision-makers in target accounts and assess whether they are a fit.
- Partner with Account Executives to hand over strong prospects for deeper sales discussions and closing.
- Run lead follow-up activities through calls and emails to keep pipeline momentum going.
- Use discovery conversations to understand customer needs and qualification criteria.
- Research accounts, map stakeholders, and build interest with the right contacts.
- Keep the prospect database organised and expanding within the assigned segment.
- Join in on online product demonstrations when needed to support prospect engagement.
What you bring
- At least 1 year of outbound B2B sales experience with high call volume.
- Hands-on experience using sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo, and Outreach.
- A proven record of exceeding targets.
- Confidence on calls and the resilience to spend much of the day speaking with prospects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good listening ability along with presentation skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and manage time well.
