Role overview
This contract role sits within a nationally important digital health setting that supports access to critical healthcare information across Australia. The position focuses on improving connected platforms, helping external developers integrate securely, and keeping operational processes running smoothly across business, technical, and stakeholder groups.
Contract and workplace details
- Initial term is 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
- The role can be based in Canberra, Brisbane, or Sydney.
- Work is arranged as 2 days per week on site.
- Baseline security clearance is required.
Key responsibilities
- Help run day-to-day activities across complex, interlinked digital systems.
- Support onboarding for software developers, including access to test and production environments.
- Assess, investigate, and help resolve incidents affecting external system connectivity.
- Keep operational documents current, including risk registers, process guides, and support references.
- Track and report on delivery progress, operational risks, issues, and system availability.
- Share operational guidance with project, design, and technical teams so they understand impacts and dependencies.
- Draft briefs, reports, correspondence, and other documentation for senior stakeholders.
Experience and capabilities
- Background in supporting business operations within large enterprise or multi-vendor technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with incident, issue, or service management, including triage, escalation, and root-cause investigation.
- Strong ability to engage stakeholders across technical teams, business units, and external partners.
- Excellent business writing skills for briefs, reports, correspondence, and process documentation.
- Capacity to quickly grasp complex business workflows, technical environments, and operational structures.
- Awareness of governance, policy, security, risk, or legislative obligations in operational contexts.
- Experience with system integration, developer onboarding, or digital platform operations will be an advantage.
