Job description

Role overview

This position sits within a locally owned store and supports the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services in the community. The focus is on keeping the customer experience at the heart of all day-to-day activities while leading the Beauty department to meet sales objectives.

Position summary

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the resources of the Beauty department so the team can reach and exceed sales targets.

Sales responsibilities

  • Use company sales tracking tools and dashboards to establish goals and monitor performance against targets.
  • Sell directly to customers while coaching and mentoring team members to improve their selling approach.
  • Strengthen sales outcomes by applying effective selling techniques.
  • Ensure the team meets productivity expectations.

Customer service responsibilities

  • Keep customer needs as the top priority and consistently deliver high-quality service.
  • Review CSI survey results with the team and communicate the related goals and expectations.
  • Model the expected eClienteling behaviors to support excellent customer interactions.
  • Schedule appointments for events and manage the yearly event calendar.
  • Support product promotion and encourage use of the PC Optimum program.
  • Make sure staff are trained to meet beauty sales standards.

Leadership responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, train, and motivate team members.
  • Create a work environment where selling feels engaging and positive.
  • Prepare performance reviews together with the Front Store Manager.
  • Communicate and demonstrate Blue Culture Principles and C.O.R.E Values.
  • Help build a team culture that reflects Blue Culture Principles and C.O.R.E Values.

Operations responsibilities

  • Use corporate sales tools to track performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure cosmetic operating standards are maintained.
  • Identify peak traffic periods and plan shifts accordingly.

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong judgment, planning ability, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfort making independent decisions when addressing customer needs and related issues.
  • Ability to act on goals and tasks assigned by management.
  • Commitment to building a yearly personal development plan.
  • Ability to work closely with the Associate-Owner and Front Store Manager.
  • Background in sales with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Prior cosmetic or beauty experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Previous experience leading a team.

Pay information

The hiring range for this position is $21.35 to $26.45 per hour. Pay may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and the geographic region of the role. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
