About the Role
As a Banking Consultant, you will deliver an excellent customer experience across the retail product range, handling everyday transactions, having needs-based conversations, and helping customers understand digital banking options. This role does not include home lending. Success in the role comes from living the ANZ values, working with strong retail banking capability, and delivering outcomes that are positive for customers and the business.
This is a permanent role based in Tauranga, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
What Your Day Will Involve
- Creating positive experiences for customers from the moment they are welcomed through to identifying and meeting their needs.
- Using ANZ frameworks to understand the financial needs of existing and prospective customers, then either solving those needs or directing them to the right business area.
- Explaining the advantages of digital and self-service banking tools and showing customers how to bank in the way that suits them best.
- Supporting branch colleagues, sharing ideas, and helping manage the team’s workload.
- Keeping knowledge current across banking processes, products, and services so customer needs can be addressed confidently and accurately.
What You Need

- Capability in consumer lending.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Awareness of compliance requirements.
- Basic computer literacy.
