Role Overview
We are searching for a skilled AutoCAD Designer who thrives in a dynamic setting to join our team. You will be tasked with producing accurate, compliant drawings and specifications to support diverse live event productions using our extensive equipment offerings.
Key Duties
- Develop detailed and code-compliant drawings and specifications based on provided instructions, calculations, and technical data.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, technicians, and other team members to integrate concepts and updates into comprehensive drawing packages.
- Validate and review drawings across various design and modeling software platforms to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Create precise detailed schematics utilizing AutoCAD and additional modeling software tools.
- Maintain the integrity and protection of our CAD systems and intellectual property assets.
- Remain flexible and adjust quickly to frequent revisions and updates in project requirements.
- Leverage multiple applications such as 3DS MAX and Photoshop to generate visuals supporting sales and marketing efforts.
- Skillfully produce drawings in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional formats.
- Research and incorporate advancements in technology to enhance drawing efficiency and quality.
- Work collaboratively with team members to devise and achieve practical design solutions.
- Ensure all project deadlines and milestones are consistently met.
- Contribute actively during design review meetings.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong abilities in drafting, spatial reasoning, and project coordination are essential.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated expert use of AutoCAD software.
- Comfortable working with PC systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- High school diploma is mandatory; an Associate degree or AutoCAD certification is highly advantageous.
- A minimum of five years of drafting experience, ideally in Architectural, Mechanical, Construction, or Event industries.
- Experience within entertainment and live event sectors, such as theaters or sporting venues, is considered a plus.
