Job description

Role overview

Google is hiring for its Associate Product Marketing Manager program, with applications open for the Fall 2026 intake. This early-career marketing role is designed to build broad product marketing experience through guided work on priority initiatives, structured learning, and close support from mentors and senior leaders.

The position is based onsite and may be placed in Los Angeles, CA, with possible assignment to Playa Vista, CA. Candidates may also be considered for other preferred US working locations, including San Francisco, Kirkland, Mountain View, New York, Los Angeles, San Bruno, Seattle, and Sunnyvale.

This opportunity is not available for immigration sponsorship.

Program details

As part of the APMM program, you will contribute to marketing efforts that support business goals while building practical skills across product marketing, strategy, messaging, campaign execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The role includes core project work as well as learning and development milestones, APMM programming, and community participation. You can expect at least two distinct project assignments, along with opportunities to connect with peers, alumni, and teams across Google marketing.

The work may include helping shape product narratives, supporting go-to-market planning, contributing to user insight work, assisting with growth marketing and optimization, and participating in campaign development and program execution.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day work will vary by assignment, but responsibilities may include supporting product launches, campaign planning, and marketing programs under manager guidance. The role is intended to contribute to larger initiatives through direct execution and collaboration.

  • Support go-to-market planning and launch campaigns for new products or features, and help track results against key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to customer acquisition and engagement programs, including messaging, business materials, events, and related strategy work.
  • Help assess product and feature improvements, launch readiness, and the communication of new updates to users.
  • Assist with narratives and presentations for clients and executives, as well as case studies and other materials that help strengthen business momentum and partner engagement.
  • Carry out marketing tasks within larger product or project workstreams with supervision from the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
  • Background in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agency work, technology, or a related field gained through full-time roles, internships, projects, or academic coursework.
  • About 3 years of full-time work experience is preferred.
  • Interest in Google’s product ecosystem, its technology direction, and its leadership in artificial intelligence.
  • Ability to think globally and work comfortably across disciplines, industries, cultures, and ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical and investigative thinking, with the ability to understand issues and shape strategy.
  • Well-developed project/program management and communication skills.

Benefits and compensation

The role offers a US base pay range of $95,000 to $136,000 annually, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits. Compensation is influenced by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Eligible US-based employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with company match; paid vacation; sick time; maternity leave; baby bonding leave; and paid holidays.
