Job description

Role overview

This Associate Product Marketing Manager role sits within Google’s APMM program, a global early-career pathway for marketers. The position is open for the Fall 2026 intake and is based onsite. The role may be located in New York, NY, and can also be based at one of Google’s other U.S. campuses, including Playa Vista, CA; San Francisco, CA; Kirkland, WA; Mountain View, CA; Los Angeles, CA; San Bruno, CA; Seattle, WA; or Sunnyvale, CA.

As part of the program, you will contribute to priority marketing initiatives, build a broad set of marketing capabilities, collaborate with a peer community and alumni network, and receive support from mentors and senior leaders. The role includes learning milestones, program participation, and active involvement in the APMM community alongside project work.

What you will do

You will support marketing projects that align with business goals and make meaningful contributions under broader guidance. Example work may include representing the user perspective in product development, shaping go-to-market plans for new products and features, supporting growth marketing and optimization efforts, helping define brand strategy, gathering user insights, and contributing to campaign execution.

Project assignments may vary, and you are expected to complete at least two distinct project assignments during the program while also taking part in learning and networking opportunities across Google’s marketing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Help plan and run launch campaigns and go-to-market initiatives for new products or features, then track results against key performance indicators.
  • Support customer acquisition efforts by helping with business strategy, positioning, marketing materials, events, and engagement measurement.
  • Contribute to reviews of product and feature improvements, assess launch readiness, and help communicate updates to users.
  • Assist in building narratives for clients and executives, along with presentations, case studies, and other content that strengthens momentum with customers and agency partners.
  • Carry out marketing tasks related to a larger project while working under manager direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
  • Background in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agency work, technology, or a closely related area through full-time roles, internships, projects, or academic coursework.
  • Preference for candidates with about 3 years of full-time professional experience.
  • Interest in Google’s product ecosystem, its technology innovations, and its leadership in artificial intelligence.
  • Ability to work across different disciplines, industries, cultures, and situations with comfort in ambiguity and an agile approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative ability, including the capacity to understand issues and help shape strategy.
  • Developed program management, project coordination, and communication skills.

Compensation and benefits

The listed pay for the U.S. is USD 95,000 to 136,000 annually, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits. Compensation is influenced by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Eligible U.S.-based employees may receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 401(k) with company match; paid vacation of 20 days per year, accruing at 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years; sick time of 40 hours per year, increased to 69 hours per year for Seattle, plus 5 discretionary sick days per instance; maternity leave through short-term disability plus baby bonding for 28 to 30 weeks; 18 weeks of baby bonding leave; and 13 paid holidays per year.

This opening is being considered for the Fall 2026 cohort. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
