About Wynn Al Marjan Island
Wynn Al Marjan Island is planned as the UAE’s first integrated resort, with an opening target in 2027. It will be situated in Ras al-Khaimah, around 50 miles from Dubai International Airport. The development is designed to include 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple swimming and wading pools, water features, a five-star spa, a salon, a retail promenade, and a center for celebrations and events.
Role Overview
The resort is seeking an experienced Assistant Director - Employee Relations & Services to support the Employee Relations function. This position focuses on employee engagement, internal communications, departmental coordination, budget management, and support for people-related initiatives across the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver internal engagement activities, ranging from smaller activations to major celebration events.
- Present company updates, policies, compliance messages, and achievement milestones in creative and engaging ways.
- Work with the Executive Director of People & Culture to review and authorize budgets for engagement initiatives.
- Lead quarterly management meetings, celebratory gatherings, and recognition activities as needed.
- Manage the development and circulation of internal communication across written, visual, and multimedia channels.
- Maintain a detailed calendar for communication and employee engagement activities.
- Handle departmental HR matters such as recognition, employee redirection, and disciplinary issues.
- Oversee assigned events, campaigns, and projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Run regular team meetings to keep the Events and Communications teams aligned and working smoothly together.
- Represent the department in property-wide programs and cross-functional initiatives.
- Work closely with HR leadership to identify and address communication requirements across programs and projects.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand needs, recommend solutions, and ensure execution meets Wynn standards.
- Prepare, monitor, and reconcile the department’s annual budget.
- Take ownership of special assignments and projects as directed.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant should be a strong communicator who can speak, read, and write English fluently and professionally. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Marketing, Events, or a similar discipline, including preferably 1 year in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of graphic design tools and principles for print, digital, and social media is preferred. A solid grasp of event planning and logistics is essential, from simple programs to large formal occasions. The position also requires the flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, depending on business needs.
