AI Product Manager

Role overview

Garena is looking for an AI Product Manager to work at the intersection of AI agents, automation, and real business problems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define, build, and launch AI products that create measurable impact.

The work covers both internal and external use cases, including AI-enabled operational tools, intelligent agents, and game localization platforms that serve real-time interactions and users across global markets at scale.

This is a hands-on position. You are expected to write code, create prototypes for your own ideas, and work directly with users to troubleshoot issues as they happen.

What you will do

• Take ownership of AI products across the full lifecycle, including discovery, scoping, prototyping, launch, performance measurement, and continuous iteration in production.
• Spot meaningful opportunities across player-facing systems, internal operations, and team tools, then decide which initiatives are worth pursuing.
• Choose the best technical path for each problem, whether that involves rules-based logic, classical machine learning, large language models, agents, or a hybrid design, and discuss the trade-offs with engineering teams across prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning, model choice, tool calling, latency, and cost.
• Shape AI-first user experiences such as chat interfaces, copilots, human-in-the-loop flows, fallback paths, and feedback mechanisms, and define how success will be evaluated.
• Build working prototypes in code using tools like Claude Code or Codex so that product and engineering discussions start with something concrete.
• Coordinate with leadership, engineers, and users to align priorities and encourage adoption.
• Observe users directly after launch, troubleshoot issues in real time, and convert what you learn into the next product improvement.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of full-time experience in product management, startup environments, or founder-style roles, including evidence of taking products from zero to one.
• A strong builder mentality, with a preference for shipping a simple prototype quickly rather than waiting to produce a polished document, and a willingness to use code, no-code, or AI tools to make things yourself.
• Experience building LLM-based products or enterprise AI applications, with exposure to product leadership across chat, copilots, RAG, AI agents, workflow automation, internal operations tools, or enterprise productivity products, from proof of concept through launch or scaled rollout.
• Comfort working in uncertain AI environments and the ability to improve reliability through evaluation frameworks, fallback strategies, and human-in-the-loop designs.
• Clear product judgment for simplifying complex and ambiguous problems into trustworthy user experiences.
• An open, adaptable, proactive approach and a genuine willingness to learn.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with a consistent focus on delivering quality work on schedule.
