Key Responsibilities
- Accept incoming shipments and confirm quantities, specifications, and conditions of goods align with purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Examine delivered items for damage, shortages, or inconsistencies and report any issues promptly.
- Create and handle receiving reports, goods received notes (GRNs), and related paperwork efficiently.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and distribution of received goods to relevant departments or storage.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Accounts Payable teams, and suppliers to resolve receiving-related inquiries.
- Keep accurate records of all received items and update the inventory system accordingly.
- Validate supplier invoices and accompany documentation prior to payment processing.
- Observe and maintain the quality standards and condition of received materials per company guidelines.
- Assist with conducting stock counts and inventory reconciliations as required.
- Manage proper handling, storage, and organization of received goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the receiving area, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Support both internal and external audits by providing comprehensive receiving records and documentation.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices related to inventory control.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of practical experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or equivalent roles.
- Understanding of purchase orders, receiving processes, and inventory documentation management.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic mastery of Microsoft Excel and standard office software applications.
- Proficiency in English is required; skill in additional languages is advantageous.
