About the Role
The Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport is seeking a Night Auditor to join their Front Office Team. This role operates overnight from 11pm to 7:30am and involves managing the hotel’s overnight activities, ensuring the accuracy of guest accounts, and providing guest services. The hotel provides convenient transportation options including a bus stop right outside and a complimentary shuttle from UBCO’s bus loop.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with guests about their satisfaction and resolve any guest-related issues.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, issuing and activating keys.
- Enroll new members and enter rewards program information.
- Process various payment methods including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit cards.
- Verify guest identity, forms of payment, room assignments, and billing details during check-ins.
- Balance end-of-day accounts and review cash drops from the Front Desk.
- Prepare alternative accommodations during sold-out situations and communicate with the Front Office Manager.
- Respond to guest calls, requests, or problems by contacting the appropriate personnel or department.
- Review and document shift logs and daily pass-on information accurately.
- Count cash till at shift start and end; balance and submit receipts following accounting guidelines.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training.
- Adhere to company policies regarding uniform, appearance, professional language, and communication etiquette.
- Maintain positive working relationships with team members.
- Assist with light cleaning and keep the hotel lobby and front entrance tidy.
- Ensure compliance with all Front Office policies, brand standards, online training, and procedures.
- Operate the hotel shuttle safely following Motor Vehicle Act requirements.
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience serving as a Guest Service Agent or similar role.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in hotel operations and accounting is a plus.
- Effective professional communication skills with guests, staff, and management.
- Understanding and strict adherence to credit and cash handling policies.
- Capability to securely manage guest information.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety, emergency, and accident prevention protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
- Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Additional Information
The hourly starting wage is $21.85. Transportation is facilitated by on-site bus connections and a complimentary employee shuttle from UBCO.
