Role overview
Infinite Care is hiring a full-time Maintenance Officer for its aged care home, Edmonton Gardens, in Edmonton, Queensland. This permanent position offers a steady weekday schedule from Monday to Friday, with shifts starting at 7:00 am and ending at around 3:00 pm. The role is paid at an hourly rate and includes a fortnightly phone allowance.
What the role involves
- Carry out everyday maintenance tasks to a consistently high standard in line with Infinite’s procedures, plans, and service expectations.
- Make sure emergency, preventative, and corrective maintenance work is completed according to all legal and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors on site when needed.
- Help keep all maintenance needs at the facility running smoothly each day.
- Deliver strong customer/client service while performing the role.
- Take on a broad mix of duties such as gardening and landscaping, basic repairs, waste removal, painting, and test and tag work; training for test and tag may be provided after you start.
What we are looking for
- Experience in property or general maintenance is preferred.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage time well, and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Comfort working both on your own and as part of a team.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Good organisation, communication, and multitasking skills.
- A valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
- A positive, proactive attitude.
- This is a physically active position, so applicants must be able to safely handle manual tasks and other physical duties.
