Job description

Overview of the Team

The Building Information Modelling (BIM) team is essential in creating precise, coordinated, and data-enriched 3D models utilized throughout design, construction, and installation stages. The team collaborates closely with design engineers, project managers, and site personnel to ensure all mechanical and electrical services are fully integrated and free of clashes before construction begins. This proactive method reduces risks, improves efficiency, and boosts collaboration among all parties, facilitating successful, high-quality, customized MEP solutions.

Position Summary

As a BIM Coordinator, you will be in charge of delivering fully coordinated, clash-free, and fabrication-ready MEP models that support design processes, offsite manufacturing, and onsite installation. This role serves as the critical connection between design, BIM, fabrication, and site teams, guaranteeing models that are accurate, feasible, and meet project specifications.

Key Duties

  • Develop and manage comprehensive MEP models using Revit, integrating architectural and structural data.
  • Utilize Revizto software for clash detection, resolving coordination challenges, and managing federated models for project review sessions.
  • Produce top-quality client drawings, fabrication models, spool drawings, and installation and setting-out information.
  • Extract quantities and produce schedules to facilitate procurement and offsite manufacturing activities.
  • Support data centre projects by coordinating architectural and structural tender documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project data and perform rigorous version control throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Update models promptly based on site markups and design amendments.
  • Work collaboratively with design teams, prefabrication units, site staff, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Participate actively in coordination meetings, communicating project status and identifying risks.
  • Contribute to delivering precise as-built models for handover and commissioning.
  • Ensure all work complies with company BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and ISO 19650 guidelines, maintaining high accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
