About the Role
We are looking to add a Maintenance Services Assistant to our team at Derwent Views located in Hobart, Tasmania. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, primarily focusing on gardening and grounds upkeep, while also providing support for general maintenance tasks throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure gardens and grounds are kept neat, orderly, and safe.
- Carry out lawn care activities including watering and weeding along with general outdoor upkeep.
- Assist in routine preventative and corrective maintenance duties.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order in resident rooms and common areas.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Provide assistance to the broader maintenance team as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in gardening or general maintenance tasks.
- Strong motivation to work within the aged care environment.
- Good verbal communication capabilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle a dynamic and varied workload effectively.
- A relevant trade qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possession of a current National Police Certificate.
